Charges are pending against a Findlay man who police say left a book bag in a Marathon Petroleum parking garage in downtown Findlay Tuesday night.
Police were called to the parking garage at 531 S. Main St. at 9:51 p.m. when Marathon security staff reported that a man left a book bag in a caged area in the garage.
Video surveillance was obtained, and officers checked the area, according to a police report.
Police called the circumstances around the book bag and the man were “suspicious,” prompting authorities to call in the Allen County Bomb Squad to examine the book bag with a robot. The bag was found to contain clothing.
The owner of the book bag was later determined to be Nicholas Muntzing, 28, of Findlay.
Muntzing was warned not to return to Marathon property and charges against him are pending, Findlay police said Wednesday.
